PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are pleased with the success of their revamped four-man corner rotation, which bodes well for Sunday's game at Cincinnati.
"We'll continue with that as we move forward," coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday.
Seldom-used cornerback Brandon Boykin saw 40 snaps in Sunday's 45-10 win over the Colts, nearly doubling his 11-game total of 22 defensive snaps entering the week. He got an interception and a pass deflection out of the slot.
The Steelers' balance in the rotation helped players stay fresh, Tomlin said. William Gay, who slid to outside corner on most passing downs, played 46 snaps, while outside corner Ross Cockrell played 43 and Antwon Blake, who's nursed an injured hand in recent weeks, played 32.
