Steelers ‘Remained Essentially Injury-Free’ In 2019 Preseason Opener

The Pittsburgh Steelers won their 2019 preseason opener 30-28 Friday night at Heinz Field and to make the night even better, the team appears to have come out of their first exhibition contest relativity healthy, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

“We remained essentially injury free, which was good,” Tomlin said during his post game press conference. “I think, Christian Williamson had a hamstring. Other than that, just normal bumps and bruises associated with play.

Second-year tight end Christian Scotland-Williamson likely suffered his hamstring injury sometime in the first half. He was not targeted any Friday night in the passing game and we don’t yet have a total snap count on him.
