The Pittsburgh Steelers had a busy Tuesday afternoon of tryouts, visits, and roster shuffling as they lost WR Ke’Shawn Williams to a waiver claim from the Cincinnati Bengals. They also released WR John Rhys Plumlee from the practice squad, per the NFL transaction sheet.
Plumlee was an undrafted free agent that initially signed with the Steelers after the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent all of training camp with the team before getting released at roster cutdowns. He then spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks in the 2024, and his stint in Seattle lasted until he was waived with an injury settlement after training camp this season.
