After a busy Tuesday filled with a number of tryouts, the Pittsburgh Steelers remained busy Wednesday, re-signing veteran running back Trey Sermon to the practice squad, bringing him back to the Steel City again.
Sermon was previously released from the Steelers’ practice squad last Wednesday among a number of moves as the Steelers were forced to shore up the trenches due to injuries that hit the position group hard in recent weeks.
The Steelers worked out 10 players Tuesday, including two quarterbacks. Among those 10 tryout players were three running backs. Sermon was not one of them, but he lands on the practice squad Wednesday.
