With only two healthy running backs and one questionable fullback for Sunday’s game, the Steelers have promoted Tony Brooks-James from the practice squad.
With Benny Snell Jr. already ruled out from knee surgery and James Conner listed as doubtful, the Steelers needed another pair of legs just in case players get banged up against the Colts. The Steelers have not had a doubtful player active on game day since the NFL changed injury designations in 2016. To make things worse, fullback Roosevelt Nix was limited in practice Friday it is questionable for the game.
