Steelers PR Staff Nominated for Pete Rozelle Award

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ public relations staff comprised of Burt Lauten, Ryan Scarpino, and Dom Rinelli, are on of five groups nominated for The Pete Rozelle Award.

The news was first reported by The Pittsburgh Post Gazette’s Ed Bouchette.

The award, originated in 1990, for the team’s media relations who best “consistently strives for excellence in its dealings and relationships with the media.”

It’s named after, of course, Pete Rozelle, the commissioner of the league from 1960 to 1989. He served as the public relations’ director for the Los Angeles Rams from 1952 to 1955.
