Steelers Players ‘Very Confident’ In Mason Rudolph: ‘That’s Why He Came Back To Pittsburgh’

For the first time this season, Aaron Rodgers’ 41-year-old body started to betray him as he had to leave Sunday’s win against the Bengals at halftime with a wrist injury. As a result, Mason Rudolph entered the game, and he did pretty well. He did not rip the defense apart, but Rudolph was efficient and led the Steelers in a dominant second half.

Speaking after Sunday’s game, Pat Freiermuth said the Steelers have full confidence in their backup.

“We knew what Mason does,” Freiermuth said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Shows up every single day in practice and works.
