The lack of a consistent passing game and concerns about the talent and production behind No. 1 WR DK Metcalf were issues for the Pittsburgh Steelers coming into the season. It proved to be warranted, as the Steelers are now on the cusp of an offensive low in the passing game that hasn’t happened in franchise history since 1990.
Entering Sunday’s Week 18 winner-take-all game for the AFC North division title against the Baltimore Ravens at Acrisure Stadium, the Steelers have just one pass catcher with more than 500 yards on the season.
That would be Metcalf, who had 850 yards and six touchdowns on 59 receptions.
