Steelers’ Passing Game Entered ’21st Century’ Against Ravens, Damien Woody Says

All season long, the conversations about the lack of a downfield passing attack and a vertical receiving threat to take the top off of opposing defenses have been loud for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Despite having Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and trading for wide receiver DK Metcalf in the offseason, the Steelers went from a downfield passing attack last season to a dink-and-dunk, YAC-reliant system.

It wasn’t working all that well, especially in recent weeks.

But then it all clicked on Sunday in Baltimore. The Steelers were aggressive with Rodgers throwing the football well. It led to an explosion of offense through the air as Metcalf had a season-best performance.
