The Pittsburgh Steelers need to figure out the quarterback position long-term, that much is crystal clear.
The path to doing so isn’t though, especially as the Steelers find themselves in control of the AFC North at the moment and sitting 7-6 on the season. The 2026 NFL Draft once offered promise at the quarterback position as coming into the year many expected the position to be rich and deep.
But that hasn’t been the case and now it appears that just two quarterbacks in Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza and Oregon’s Dante Moore — should he declare — are locks for the top end of the first round.
