Aaron Rodgers confirmed after last week’s game that Jonnu Smith missed a signal and ran the wrong route to take a would-be touchdown off the board. He also suggested, without saying names, that they needed to improve communication overall and attend extra film sessions that he has been hosting with his receivers. Darnell Washington told NFL Network’s Steve Wyche that communication was a big emphasis on offense this week.
“I spoke to TE Darnell Washington about that and he said they have really been laying into fine tuning what they have to do. And according to Washington, he said as receivers, it’s about hearing the whole call, knowing what the checks and signals are, whether they are verbal and nonverbal, and they’re really stressing the importance of that knowing that they’re in Baltimore this week, and there’s gonna be crowd noise,” Wyche said on NFL GameDay Morning.
