There are a lot of things that one could say about today’s game. But the majority of them can probably be summed up by a simple phrase: Wednesday afternoon football. As weird and awkward as that sounds, it reflects the weirdness and awkwardness that we saw on the field today—and in the week-long buildup, as well.
The first half, in particular, really seemed to be reflective of the circumstances, of two teams who have for a week not known when they would play the game, or even if they would play the game. The Baltimore Ravens obviously were dealt the worse hand, and ended up calling up 10 players from the practice squad as Covid-19 replacements.
