The Pittsburgh Steelers have made it official. The team announced the signing of veteran safety Jabrill Peppers Wednesday, and with it came a flurry of other moves.
Along with the addition of Peppers to the 53-man roster, cornerback James Pierre was signed from the practice squad to the active roster. In the corresponding moves, the Steelers placed inside linebacker Malik Harrison and quarterback Skylar Thompson on Injured Reserve, and added veteran quarterback Logan Woodside to the practice squad.

The move to add Peppers comes after standout strong safety DeShon Elliott was injured in the season-opening win over the Nw York Jets, exiting with a knee injury.
