The Pittsburgh Steelers technically have the day off to recover from the Sunday Night Football win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18 to win the AFC North and punch the ticket to the playoffs. But that didn’t stop GM Omar Khan from making a roster move Tuesday.
The Steelers released veteran offensive tackle David Sharpe from the practice squad, opening up a spot on the 17-man practice squad roster ahead of the AFC Wild Card matchup against the No. 5 Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.
Sharpe previously signed to the practice squad on December 10, shoring up the depth chart after Broderick Jones and Calvin Anderson both landed on Injured Reserve at the tackle position.
