In what felt like a twisted version of Groundhog Day, the Pittsburgh Steelers once again enter the 2025 season lacking in the receiver room. While there are some notable new names on the depth chart, the depth is still shallow.
Last year, we saw a similar issue. The Steelers dumped all of their eggs into the George Pickens basket, and while we saw Calvin Austin III make some nice strides, this passing game collapsed when Pickens went out the door.
It looked like the team had a solution when they traded for DK Metcalf, but they turned around and traded Pickens after the fact.
