When the Pittsburgh Steelers released safety Robert Golden at the start of NFL Free Agency, they would have to replace a special team player who once held the title of captain for the team.
This is a position the Steelers have clearly targeted, especially after hosting former Patriots Pro Bowl special teamer William Slater over the weekend, and now reportedly hosting former Miami Dolphins special team ace Michael Thomas.
Thomas went undrafted in 2012, and was signed by the San Francisco 49ers out of Stanford, but failed to make the roster.
