The Pittsburgh Steelers host veteran offensive tackle David Sharpe for a visit on Friday, per the NFL’s transactions sheet. A former fourth round pick with 46 career appearances, the interest stems from Calvin Anderson’s knee injury that will keep him out at least this week and potentially beyond.
Selected by the Oakland Raiders in 2017 out of Florida, Sharpe has bounced around the league and largely been a backup. He has six career starts but none since the 2020 season. He most recently spent time on the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad before being released earlier this week.
