Steelers Hold Myles Garrett To Zero Sacks, Protect T.J. Watt’s Record

Myles Garrett entered Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers just a half sack shy of tying T.J. Watt’s record—and left the game in the exact same spot. The Steelers avoided the unfortunate spectacle of watching their rival break Watt’s record, but at a cost. Pittsburgh lost the game and set up a win-or-go-home game against the Baltimore Ravens next week.

Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers looked acutely aware of the potential record throughout the game and got rid of the ball very quickly to limit exposure to Garrett. Dylan Cook and Rodgers did an okay job of preventing Garrett from impacting the game, but I fear their overall gameplan to avoid Garrett rendered them ineffective on offense.
