The Steelers hadn’t been playing Steelers football much in recent weeks, rookie OLB Jack Sawyer says, but that changed on Sunday. Forcing six turnovers with five sacks in a win over the Colts, Pittsburgh returned to the splash plays upon which it thrives. While there is debate about whether that’s sustainable, the Steelers certainly welcome their appearance.
“I think we just got back to playing our brand of football: smashing the run and covering in the pass and letting the pass rush help the secondary and the secondary help the pass rush”, Sawyer said on SiriusXM after recording his first NFL interception.
