You can add guard David DeCastro to the list of players fined for their actions in Sundays game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, DeCastro was hit with an $8000 fine for grabbing the facemask of Bengals defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry at the bottom of a pile Sunday. The Steelers guard will reportedly appeal that.
The infraction happened late in the fourth quarter after Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict pushed Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix backwards at the conclusion of a running play. DeCastro took offense to Burfict’s actions and tried to remove Burfict off of Nix.
