Steelers Friday Injury Report Week 1: S Sean Davis Ends Week As Doubtful

The Pittsburgh Steelers just released their final injury report ahead of their Sunday night Week 1 road game against the New England Patriots and the Friday offering shows that safety Sean Davis (ankle) isn’t very likely to play in that contest.

After failing to practice once again on Friday, Davis, who suffered an ankle injury in the team’s third preseason game, was listed as doubtful for the Sunday night game against the Patriots.

With Davis very unlikely to play, first-year safety Kameron Kelly is expected to start Sunday night in his place. Kelly, who entered the NFL originally in 2018 with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State, will play in his first NFL regular season game Sunday night.
