New defensive coordinator and former secondary coach Teryl Austin delved into the competition for starting jobs in the secondary in a recent interview.
In a Wednesday interview with 93.7 the Fan’s Jeff Hathhorn Thursday morning, Austin was asked about the role of free agent signee safety Damontae Kazee, as well as the competition at the cornerback position.
“He’s been a starter in this league. So, it doesn’t surprise me that he shows up the way he does,” Austin stated regarding Kazee.
