NEW ORLEANS -- The football -- and possibly the Pittsburgh Steelers' playoff hopes -- fell out of JuJu Smith-Schuster's hands.
Smith-Schuster's fumble in the open field with 32 seconds left sealed the New Orleans Saints' 31-28 win that knocked Pittsburgh a half-game behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North standings.
This was a devastating play for a receiver who's been tremendous all season.
The Steelers knew their playoff hopes hinged largely on what happened in New Orleans, and on Sunday, they played like it. They were desperate, inspired, bold, exciting.
