Steelers CB Darius Slay Healthy Scratch, Won’t Play Against Bills

With veteran Asante Samuel Jr. elevated to the active/inactive roster Sunday for the matchup with the Buffalo Bills, putting I’m on track to make his debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the odd man out at the position is a surprise.

That would be 34-year-old cornerback Darius Slay.

According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Slay is inactive for the Week 13 matchup against the Bills at Acrisure Stadium.

CB Darius Slay is INACTIVE today. Asante Samuel Jr. has jumped him on the depth chart.

Other inactives: WR Scotty Miller, QB Will Howard (3rd QB), DL Logan Lee and DT Derrick Harmon

Previously, Slay saw his playing time reduced in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears after returning from a concussion that forced him to miss Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
