Steelers Assistant Gerald Alexander Hired As Raiders’ Safeties Coach

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost assistant defensive backs coach Gerald Alexander, as he has been hired by the Las Vegas Raiders as their new safeties coach, NFL Media’s Cameron Wolfe reports.

Alexander spent the last 2 seasons as Steelers assistant defensive backs coach. He also ran Dolphins DB room from 2020-21 where he became a favorite for many players. Now, he aims to do it again in Vegas.

Alexander has served as Pittsburgh’s assistant defensive backs coach for the last two seasons, and the two seasons prior to that, he served as the defensive backs coach for the Miami Dolphins.
