Steelers add Eagles' Weidl to round of second GM interviews

The Steelers have added a fourth person to their second round of potential replacements for retiring general manager Kevin Colbert. Art Rooney II will interview Eagles vice president of personnel Andrew Weidl a second time for the position.

Weidl, a native of Mt. Lebanon, joins Titans vice president of player personnel Ryan Cowden, former Bills general manager Doug Whaley and Buccaneers vice president of player personnel John Spytek as known candidates who have or will receive a second interview.

Weidl began his career in the NFL in 1998 as a player personnel assistant with the Steelers under then-director of football operations (GM) Tom Donahoe.
