The Steelers are clearly getting their money’s worth from Kenneth Gainwell, but HC Mike Tomlin is not surprised by it. After four seasons in Philadelphia, some of it behind Saquon Barkley, he is finally seeing more opportunities. He never recorded a 100-yard game with the Eagles—or even a 90-yard game.
On Monday, Gainwell recorded his fourth 100-yard game of the season, meaning yards from scrimmage. While he has no 100-yard rushing or receiving games, his versatility has produced potent results. Against the Dolphins, he rushed for 80 yards and gained another 46 as a receiver.
