PITTSBURGH -- After dealing wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Chicago Bears for a second-round pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers have completed a trade with the Washington Commanders for cornerback William Jackson III before Tuesday's deadline, sources told ESPN.
The Commanders will receive a sixth-round draft pick in 2024 for Jackson and a seventh-rounder in 2025, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson, who signed a three-year deal worth up to $40.5 million with $21 million guaranteed in 2021, was expected to be released by the deadline if Washington didn't find a trade partner.
