Silly fake FG stalls otherwise dominant Steelers performance in Seattle

SEATTLE – A stunningly bad decision to fake a field goal stalled the Steelers’ momentum and created a 10-point swing that could prove costly for the visitors.

Some old-fashioned trickery that actually worked – a reverse to Martavis Bryant for an 11-yard rushing score – gave the Steelers a 10-7 lead, but things didn’t have to be this difficult on the road, where Pittsburgh leads 18-14 at the half.

On the first play of the second quarter, the Steelers special teams unit set up the 27-yard line for what would have been a 44-yarder for Chris Boswell.
