Shedeur Sanders’ time has finally come — or at least he finally saw his first NFL snaps.
Dillon Gabriel was injured in the Cleveland Browns’ game against the Baltimore Ravens, which meant Sanders came in at quarterback. The once-projected first-round pick who ultimately fell to the fifth was buried on the depth chart to start the season, but eventually found his way onto the field.
It was a tough situation for him to be in, no doubt. His first snaps came against an AFC North rival and he wouldn’t have received practice reps with the starters throughout the week.
