Today is the annual NFL Supplemental Draft which in most years is about as exciting as watching the Browns play but every so often there’s a player who comes along and ‘intrigues’ several teams. This year that guy is a cornerback from Western Michigan named Sam Beal. He was ruled ineligible for the 2018 season and therefore threw his hat into the ring. Early evaluation of the young man for the 2019 NFL Draft had him as a solid second round selection. Chances are good that some team will grab him but ‘when’ is the most important thing.
