When the Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced that linebacker Bud Dupree would not be tagged, it immediately meant that his time in the Steel City was over. Dupree’s story is one of interesting hills and valleys. A first round draft pick from Kentucky, the early reviews were mixed. Some looked at him as the next “Jarvis Jones” and that’s not good. But he worked his tail off and especially on the skills that it would take to become a top pass rusher in the NFL. When his contract expired after 2019 the Steelers franchised tagged him.
