I figured “Danger Zone” was appropriate considering the new ‘Top Gun’ movie was out. Kenny Logins’ classic song belted out when Tom Cruise was jetting through the sky against those pesky Russians. In this particular case, the term ‘danger zone’ is what I call the six week period between the end of mini-camp and the start of Training Camp. This doesn’t just apply to the Steelers but to all NFL players. You see, this is the period when players are untethered. They can travel, vacation, continue training whatever knowing the long NFL season awaits.
