The Pittsburgh Steelers have an obvious type that they look for in their head coaches. Their past three, which spanned nearly 60 years, were all young, defensive-minded coaches with no experience being the head man for an NFL team. That doesn’t mean they will constrain their search or close their minds off to other options for the latest interview process.
Art Rooney II talked about this in his Wednesday press conference.
“I don’t want to sort of put any real parameters around it. We’re gonna be an open book in terms of who we look for and the list that we build,” Rooney said via the Steelers’ YouTube.
