Ron Cook: Loss to Ravens painful in many ways

Talk about a Friday morning hangover.

The Steelers’ 23-20 loss in overtime Thursday night was hurtful for three significant reasons. One, it came against the hated Baltimore Ravens, who, suddenly, have life in the AFC North Division race after their 0-3 start.

“That [stinks],” Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell said.

Two, the Steelers led, 20-7, early in the third quarter and gave the game away in large part because of two missed field goals by Josh Scobee. Where’s Shaun Suisham when you need him? And three, it’s clear the Steelers, at 2-2, are facing a very difficult future without injured Ben Roethlisberger.
