Reports: Titans Request Interview For Steelers OC Arthur Smith

The Tennessee Titans have requested an interview with Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith for their vacant head coaching position. Tians’ insider Paul Kuharsky was the first to report the news with NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport affirming it Thursday morning.

Tennessee has cast a wide net this coaching cycle with double-digit interview requests already. Firing Brian Callahan mid-season, the organization has had plenty of time to consider its options. Seeking Smith for an interview is no surprise. A Memphis native, he has strong ties to the franchise and ownership. After Callahan’s firing, we speculated the Titans could show interest in Smith.
