The trade deadline has come and gone this year, and the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t make any moves. Although there was a lot of speculation that they would acquire a wide receiver, that didn’t happen. Some of their potential targets, like Rashid Shaheed and Jakobi Meyers, went elsewhere. However, many of the bigger fish at receiver didn’t get dealt. That doesn’t mean teams didn’t call, though.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz revealed on Twitter that teams called about New York Jets receiver Garrett Wilson. Ultimately, the Jets didn’t want to part with him. It’s unclear if the Steelers were one of those teams.
