The Pittsburgh Steelers have released veteran safety Juan Thornhill, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. Thornhill signed a one-year deal in the offseason and entered the year as the team’s starting free safety. But his role had been eliminated the last two games with Jalen Ramsey’s move to safety. Thornhill will look for a better opportunity elsewhere.
