Report: Steelers OLB Anthony Chickillo signs RFA tender

The date which Restricted Free Agents (RFAs) had to sign their tender was quickly approaching, and Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo followed teammate Chris Boswell’s lead by signing his original round tender, per a source close to ProFootballTalk.

The news means Chickillo will spend the 2018 season with the Steelers before hitting the free agent market after this season, barring a new contract being agreed upon between the two parties.

Last year Chickillo played in all 16 games, and notched two starts to his record. He finished the season with 14 tackles, three sacks and a touchdown — scoring the team’s first touchdown of the 2017 season after a Tyler Matakevich blocked punt was recovered by Chickillo vs.
