Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back/kick returner Dri Archer is working out for the New York Jets, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
Archer, who was waived by the Steelers prior to their Week 9 game against the Oakland Raiders in order to make room for return man Jacoby Jones, has reportedly already turned down several offers from teams to sign with them as a practice squad player.
According to Cimini, Archer was one of four kick returners that the Jets worked out. New York has already lost their top two kick returners, Chris Owusu and Zac Stacy, to season-ending injuries.
