It didn’t take long for former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Daryl Porter Jr. to find a new home. And one in the playoffs, too. The Buffalo Bills are signing Porter to the team’s practice squad, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Pittsburgh released Porter off its practice squad last week to make room for DL Kyler Baugh. Porter was originally signed by the Steelers during training camp as additional depth. He made headlines for being the first player to wear No. 39 following Minkah Fitzpatrick’s June trade to the Miami Dolphins.
“Steelers’ coaches like DC Teryl Austin praised Porter for his demeanor,” we wrote in our summer evaluation.
