The Ravens fired HC John Harbaugh yesterday after 18 seasons for a surprising reason: in part, he lost the locker room. Generally regarded as one of the coaches players would most want to play for, there appears to have been a turning point. And it seems to have initiated, or at least proliferated, from QB Lamar Jackson.
“Among the reasons—it is not just that they didn’t go far enough in the playoffs—my understanding after talking to several sources involved is that, simply, Harbaugh lost the locker room”, Ian Rapoport reported. “At the end, players just simply had doubts about whether they wanted to play for him as their head coach.
