Ravens Have Made One Key Change On Defense That Steelers Exploited In First Meeting, Tomlin Says

The Steelers repeatedly exploited the Ravens’ defense in one particular way last time that Mike Tomlin is cautioning may be unavailable now. In their game a few weeks back, Baltimore regularly lined up in man-to-man coverage, and Pittsburgh won their battles. Never mind the fact that it was DK Metcalf winning those battles, and he won’t be available this week.

According to Tomlin, the Ravens have adjusted their defense in the weeks since the Steelers game. They aren’t playing man coverage nearly as much, so the vertical attack they favored last time out will be limited.

“From a defensive perspective, it looks like they’re minimizing some of their man-to-man since the last time we played them”, Tomlin said of the Ravens’ defense during his Tuesday pre-game press conference, via the Steelers’ website.
