Though it’s unknown exactly when T.J. Watt will again take the field, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport notes Watt is expected to play again sometime during the 2025 season. After needing surgery for a partially collapsed lung following a dry needle treatment treatment, Watt is recovering and unlikely to play Monday night against the Miami Dolphins.
But the belief is he will return before the regular season ends.
“Sometimes this heals on its own,” Rapoport shared on Twitter/X Friday. “This didn’t, so surgery was necessary. A scary 24 hours. But full recovery expected.”
