Mike Tomlin stepping down from the helm of the Pittsburgh Steelers after 19 years sent shockwaves across the NFL landscape as one of the better coaches in the NFL and a future Hall of Famer found himself available, in a sense.
Though his resignation allows the Steelers to retain his contractual control for the next two years, Tomlin finds himself as one of the hot commodities for teams in need of a head coach. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, that led to teams quickly reaching out to the Steelers to express interest in Tomlin for their openings.
