Randy Fichtner tries to explain the Steelers’ awkward utilization of running backs

If you are like me, when watching the Pittsburgh Steelers offense, especially their running game, it can be frustrating. Not just the lack of a running game, but the way Randy Fichtner and company are deploying their backs.

The Week 10 game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars was a perfect example of how the Steelers’ utilization of running backs made you scratch your head.

James Conner started the game and played the first series. The next series was Benny Snell Jr. in the backfield and the third drive was rookie Anthony McFarland.

While I understand getting everyone involved, there comes a point when you have to wonder how much the rotation is hurting a player like Conner, and the offensive line, from getting into a rhythm.
