The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team which has had their share of ups and downs throughout the first half of the 2019 regular season. Getting demolished by New England in Week 1, losing Ben Roethlisberger in Week 2 and then trying to navigate their way through uncharted waters in the weeks following.
Offensively, the Steelers haven’t been nearly consistent enough under Mason Rudolph to increase confidence within the fan base, but defensively this unit is starting to round into form nicely. Anchored by T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Bud Dupree, the defense is creating turnovers in a way fans haven’t seen in the Mike Tomlin era, and on pace to break the 50 sack total for a third straight season.
