The Pirates and the Pittsburgh Stadium Independent Employees Union (PSIEU) -- who represent the ushers, ticket takers and ticket sellers at the ballpark-- have reached a tentative agreement for a new contract, both sides confirmed to DK Pittsburgh Sports Tuesday.

The deal has yet to be ratified, but there will be no strike outside of the stadium when the Pirates return home to take on the Reds on April 20.

“We are very pleased to report that we have reached a tentative agreement with the PSIEU on a new collective bargaining agreement this afternoon," senior vice president of communications Brian Warecki said in a team statement.
