Penguins reduce camp roster to 24 players

The Penguins re-assigned forward Sam Poulin and goaltender Filip Lindberg to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Ron Hextall announced on Saturday.

The moves bring the Penguins' training camp roster to 24 players.

Poulin appeared in two preseason games this year. He centered the Penguins' third line in the preseason opener against the Blue Jackets, and then centered the fourth line in the penultimate preseason game against the Red Wings. He recorded an assist in each game and was a combined plus-1.

Lindberg made one appearance in net in the preseason, the first game against the Blue Jackets.
