Week to week, it’s been difficult to predict how the Pittsburgh Steelers defense would fare in 2025 but one thing seems to be increasingly clear: If Pittsburgh can stop the run, they have a good chance at controlling the game and securing victory. Many have pointed out the schematic issues, including some in the locker room, with Pittsburgh’s coaches taking the brunt of the criticism for a defensive unit that has looked confused and out of position all too often.
Recently, however, the Steelers have been able to stop the run effectively and it has contributed to the team playing its best football of the season.
